Sources we use

We prioritize primary sources (IRS publications and forms, plus official state revenue agency pages). If a claim cannot be verified from primary sources, we either avoid it or label it as an assumption and point to what should be checked.

Update cadence

• When official guidance changes (IRS or state agencies).
• When users report inconsistencies that can be verified with sources.
• When we improve clarity of assumptions or limitations.

Corrections

We correct factual errors quickly and note meaningful changes in our internal changelog. If you spot something off, please share the official source link so we can validate and update.

Advertising & affiliates

If any outbound links are monetized, they will be clearly labeled. Monetization does not change how sources are chosen or how results are calculated.
